Update on OSG Services – COVID-19

Our hearts go out to those who have been most deeply affected by COVID-19.  We appreciate the efforts of the local and global communities who are working hard to contain the spread and treat the ill.

Safety is not just something we train, it’s a value we live by. We are taking precautions to help keep you and our team safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please note this situation is rapidly evolving and our response may change as new information becomes available from reputable sources including the Public Health Agency of Canada.

In-Person Public Training Postponed Until April 17

In an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are postponing all public in-person training scheduled until April 17. As this situation develops, we may have to postpone additional training. We will post the latest updates here and get in touch with any affected clients.

Clients who have booked public in-person training scheduled to start before April 17 will be contacted to make arrangements. Options include:

  • Switching to distance learning – View Schedule
  • Rescheduling to a later date
  • Receiving a full refund

We’ve Launched Distance Learning Options

In response to COVID-19, many organizations are implementing working from home and various distancing policies. We recognize that our clients continue to operate their businesses, and we have therefore committed to providing them with the same reliable and engaging training they are accustomed to receiving from OSG, but online. Our distance learning options will allow learners to virtually attend our facilitator-led courses. This is in addition to our 100+ courses already available online.

OSG has been in regular communication with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) to ensure our distance learning offerings for CPO-Approved certification courses for Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification continue to meet certification criteria. 

Extensions for Expiring Certifications With Booked Training

The MLTSD will be granting extensions for individuals who are unable to renew their certificate before expiry due to the COVID-19 situation. In order to honour their existing certification, the certificate holder must have a receipt or order confirmation for training that will allow them to recertify.

How do I update or reschedule my upcoming training or consulting?

We encourage you to give us a call to discuss your upcoming booking please call 1.800.815.9980 or email info@osg.ca. One of our Client Success Specialists will be more than happy to assist.

Will OSG postpone additional courses?

At this time, we are postponing public, in-class training scheduled until April 17. We are monitoring the situation closely and will update this page if we need to postpone additional in-class training. In addition, our team will be in touch with anyone who has booked a course that is being postponed as soon as possible to make arrangements. 

Under these circumstances, you will have the opportunity to reschedule, switch to distance education, or receive a full refund.
