An accident can be defined as a sudden, unplanned event that causes or could have caused harm to a person, environment, or property. Accidents can happen in any workplace, at anytime. Failure to properly investigate an accident and determine its root cause can be costly.
A proper investigation helps to measure the effectiveness of your company’s health and safety program, reveal hazards that were not identified during workplace inspections, examine actual events, and reveal potential trends.
