Working at Heights Partnership Overview

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development’s (MLITSD) new Program Standard for Working at Heights will come into effect on April 1, 2024. At that time the current Working at Heights program will no longer be valid.

OSG is pleased to offer our newly approved Working at Heights (WAH) program to organizations that were providers of OSG's previous WAH program. Please review the steps providers need to complete to become an approved provider of OSG's new program.

How to become a provider of OSG’s new Working at Heights Training Program.

To become a training partner of OSG’s new Working at Heights program, you need to take the following steps:

1. Sign OSG’s Training Partner Agreement

The agreement is between OSG and your organization and must be signed by a designated signing authority for your organization.

    • Instructors must be employed with an organization that has an active partnership agreement before they can access the new WAH program.
    • Once you sign the agreement, OSG will provide:
      • A webinar session where you will learn about the new program, provider standard, and transitional application process
      • License to use OSG’s CPO-Approved WAH training materials
      • Access to training and application materials

You can view a copy of OSG’s Training Partner Agreement for more details.

2. Attend OSG’s WAH training session (optional)

Attendees will receive information on the program updates, provider standard updates, and application process. Webinars will be offered in our virtual classroom on the following dates:

    • March 6, from 10:00 am - 12:00 am EST
    • March 13, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST

You will be registered in your preferred session once you’ve reviewed and signed OSG’s Training Partner Agreement. Attending a webinar session is optional but recommended.

3. Submit your application materials to the MLITSD

You’ll receive an email notification from the MLITSD once your application is approved.

4. Order your participant manuals and workbooks from OSG (optional)

To order your materials, please contact your client relationship manager. If you do not have a client relationship manager, please contact partner@osg.ca.

Note: You cannot begin training the new WAH program until:

  1. Your application is approved by the MLITSD
  2. The new standard comes into effect on April 1, 2024
