Renew your Working at Heights Certification. Refresher training approved by The Ministry of Labour Immigration Training and Skills Developmentās Chief Prevention Officer (CPO) is required every three years to maintain a valid Working at Heights Certification.
Refresh your knowledge and skills to work safely at heights. This course is designed to ensure that participants can demonstrate their continued knowledge of the correct use of fall protection equipment.
Certificate issued the same day. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate showing proof that they completed CPO-Approved Working at Heights Training.

What you will learn
This Refresher course will reinforce the knowledge and skills needed to work safely at heights through active participation and hands-on learning. By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Identify potential dangers associated with working at heights
- Understand and use the hierarchy of controls
- Describe the limitations, application, and storage of different fall protection systems
- Calculate fall distances
- Demonstrate how to inspect the equipment, don and doff a harness, and maintain 100% tie-off
- Select the appropriate fall protection equipment when working on a platform
- Understand the responsibilities of workplace parties with respect to a rescue plan
Who should take this course?
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act - Ontario Reg. 213/91 Construction Projects, CPO-approved Working at Heights training is required for anyone who works on a construction project and fall protection.
This course is for those who have already completed CPO-approved Working at Heights training and hold a certificate that is expiring soon.
