Developing and implementing an effective spills prevention program is the most effective means of reducing the frequency of spill discharges to the environment.
Our course focuses on the need for response planning, identifying and assessing the risks associated with a spill, responding to a spill, and clean up. We discuss spill prevention concepts and techniques, and apply knowledge learned through a practical hands-on spill response exercise.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Discuss the importance of response planning
• Identify areas that contribute to spills
• Determine appropriate response levels
• Respond to a spill
• Identify spill prevention methods
