What are the prerequisites?

What is the difference between a public and private class?

Public classes run on a set schedule and are open to participants from different organizations. It’s a flexible option for individuals or smaller teams who want to get certified without committing to a private session.

Private classes are held exclusively for your team, either online or at a location of your choosing. It’s ideal for organizations certifying multiple trainers at once.

How long is the Respirator Fit Test Train-the-Trainer course?

This is a one-day course running from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

What do I need to join the virtual class?

No additional software is required. Simply open your web browser, and you’re ready to go. For the best experience, we recommend:

  • A laptop or desktop using the Chrome browser — cellphones and tablets (including iPads) are not currently supported
  • A reliable internet connection
  • Built-in or external speakers or headphones to hear the facilitator
  • A webcam and microphone are encouraged for classroom activities

Can I train as many employees as I need once certified?

Yes, once certified, you can train an unlimited number of employees at your organization. Just ensure your Respirator Fit Test Train-the-Trainer certification remains active, as it expires every three years.

Can multiple employees share one enrollment?

Each enrollment covers one individual and cannot be shared. If several people at your organization need to complete the course, additional seats will be required.

Can I resell the course or its materials?

No, this course and its materials cannot be resold. If you need to return any items, most new, unopened items can be returned to OSG within 30 days of delivery. Review our terms for Train-the-Trainer Kits or contact us for more information.
